Insulate, Caulk, and Weather Strip:
Head to your local hardware store and get some materials to better protect your home from cold temperatures. Caulking, insulating, and weatherstripping doors and windows is a DIY task that can be completed in a weekend. Additionally, its a low-cost way to keep cold weather out and warm air in!
Clean and Maintain Fireplace:
If you have a fireplace, make sure you sweep the chimney. Also, make sure you keep the flue closed on your fireplace when you’re not using it.
